Rules

Staff reserve the right to issue penalties, even if a players action don't fall neatly into the listed rule categories

For cases of hacking or exploiting: We reserve the right to confiscate any items, money, or xp gained through the illicit activity. This may result in also losing items that were gained legitimately during the same time period the cheating took place. In extreme cases there may be a full inventory wipe and/or chest removal.

The following will result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Advertising for Minecraft servers, or any other products and services
• Graphic language that is overtly sexual or disgusting
• Discrimination or hate speech directed at any group or person which includes but not limited to: race, gender, weight, disability, sexual orientation, religion, income level, marital status, pregnancy/parenthood, immigration status, political beliefs
• Creating a hostile environment for players
• Harassment of players in chat or by remaining in their proximity
• Chat spam including repeating lines with minor edits, garbage text, count downs, or splitting statements across multiple lines
• Attempting to bypass the profanity filter or directing profanity towards players
• Discussions on politics, religion, sexual preference and other sensitive subjects that are not game related
• Speaking languages besides English in public chat channels, without providing an accurate translation

Note: Chat rules apply to all forms of communication including: town names, boards, signs, renamed items. They also include forum and Discord

The following can result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Discussing the performance of individual staff members, or the staff as a whole, in public channels
• Begging staff members for gameplay benefits (cash or spawned items) or services not available to players (WorldEdit)
• Demanding that staff take action against a player with a mute, kick, ban or other penalty

Note: If you have concerns about the actions of specific staff members, you can bring them to the attention of the staff team leads.

Note: You can report a rule breaking player via the Report a Player section of the forums

The following will result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Grief (Destruction of blocks placed by other players without permission)
• Butchering (Killing of animals or mobs spawned by other players within town borders without permission)

The following can result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Stealing items from improperly secured containers (chests, furnaces, hoppers etc.)
• Stealing items mistakenly dropped by players
• Scamming or tricking players out of their resources.

The following will result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• X-ray, flight, speed, nuker, or any other client side hack or exploit that confers an unfair advantage
• Macros that allow for actions being performed automatically while AFK, or perform actions much more quickly than normal
• The use of machines that allow you to bypass the AFK timer, constructing said machines, or neglecting to inform a staff member of a potential AFK machine

Note: If you knowingly benefit from a player cheating, you may be penalized equally

Note: Fly mod is allowed for Skylander+, without the abuse of faster speed

The following will result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Exploitation of bugs (such as bugs that allow item duping) in Minecraft and/or installed plugins
• Exploitation of unbalanced game mechanics vanilla or otherwise exclusive to the server which allow for substantial gains. This can include but is not limited to large amounts of items, experience, and/or money

Note: If you knowingly benefit from a player exploiting or encourage others to exploit, you may be penalized equally

The following can result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Aggressive claiming of territory in a way that blocks expansion or surrounds other towns
• Claiming territory within a 2 plot perimeter of another towns border without permission

Note: Chat rules apply to town names and town boards

The following can result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Building mob grinders in the Wastelands is not permitted. This does not include basic dark room use
• Mob grinder builds which require a large number of pistons are restricted. They must be disabled and/or dissembled upon staff request
• Any mob farm build that is determined to cause a greater than a 1 TPS drop in server performance must be re-designed, disabled, or disassembled upon staff request

The following can result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Trapping players, or killing players in non-PvP areas
• Falsely requesting another player to TP to you for non-PvP related activities, in order to kill them

Note: PvP is allowed, harassment by proximity is not. If you’re not welcome in a non-capital town during a nation war, leave and move to the capital

The following will result in action being taken against you for single and/or repeat offenses

• Account Sharing (Lending an account you own to another person who can then take action without your knowledge)
• Impersonating a member of staff (including but not limited to Account Names, Forum Names & Titles)
• Ban Evasion (Using an alt or a friends account to log onto Horizon while being banned on your primary account)
• Buying or Selling accounts (including game codes) from or to other players, either for in-game or real money

Note: You are responsible for all actions taken by your player account regardless of who is behind the keyboard
