How to Obtain a Treasure Map

Treasure maps are obtained through crafting a treasure map with Treasure Map Fragments.

Treasure Map Fragments

The primary method of getting Treasure Map Fragments is by killing custom mobs. Every custom hostile mob has a chance to drop a fragment, and this chance scales up with the difficulty of the custom mob.

Treasure map fragments can also be obtained through Voting; the cost of one fragment is 5 Reward Points.

Crafting Treasure Maps

Common Treasure Maps are crafted with 4 Treasure Map Fragments, and Normal Treasure Maps are crafted for higher value rewards with 9 Treasure Map Fragments:

Note: The act of crafting a Treasure Map must be completed while the player is on the Wastelands world.

Using a Treasure Map

After crafting the Treasure Map, the treasure is located by following the coordinates on the map in the Wastelands to the red X on the map. The map's terrain will appear after getting to the general location of the treasure (like how a vanilla Minecraft map is revealed). The treasure will be located a couple blocks below two mossy cobblestone wall markers, and it is only accessible for the person who crafted the Treasure Map.

Currently, Treasure maps allow players to teleport near the vicinity of the treasure location by right-clicking while holding the active map.
