Planned Revamps of Removed Features

    Many OMM features were removed for Omniverse.

    The plan for most removed features is to revamp and reintroduce them.


    Removed at launch - Will be re-added later
    • Player Rank Perks
    • Voting Rewards
    • Wastelands Structures
    • Pure/Pristine Ores
    • Custom Crops
    • Custom Food Recipes
    • Monster Possession
    • Mob Disguise Masks
    • Custom Item Textures

    Removed for Omniverse - Will not be re-added
    • mcMMO*
    • Anvil Crafting
    • Spawn Egg Crafting
    • Animal Trapping

    *We will be adding a mcMMO like skill system, but the plugin itself will not return.

    I have some concerns with this, as I know you want players to have a great experience in the wl it will throw off the market if the structures are raidable. I would be more in favor if the structures were unraidable.

    what will Blacksmith have now if they cant anvil craft job items?

    Animal trapping would be a great hunter perk if you removed natural squid spawns. Of course you would have to remove fishing from hunter its way to op.

    Im just curious as to your reasoning behind not re-introducing these 2 features.

    The balance concerns are why structures weren't there at launch and won't be for a while longer.

    Aside from a carefully considered revamped loot table, the plan for structures is to have a plugin enforced block whitelist. That way even if a valuable block sneaks into a schematic, the structure placer will refuse to place it.
    Short term, exclusive skills around repair and salvage. Longer term new crafting recipes for custom weapons and armor.

    Anvil crafting itself wasn't a problem, it was that the items it produced gave innate potion effects, as did some monster masks. Making innate potion effects available devalues Alchemy to the point of uselessness.

    As far as Traps, they just weren't used often. Capture eggs are the way to obtain animals for Omni and traps aren't a great alternative. Also they were based on spawners and so were a source of potential bugs and exploits around placement.

    Our custom resource pack feature. It was only in beta because we hadn't implemented cross server support to prevent loading a resource pack every server switch.

    If you could find a good replacement for anvil crafting, do you think there's a chance it could be implemented? There are attributes that can be used to buff players without using potion effects...
